At 831 Aerial we provide our clientele with ultra high resolution images and videos utilizing professional grade drones equipped with industry standard 4K cameras. We boast a team of licensed, skilled, and insured drone pilots. All of whom are commercially rated FAA Part 107 certified Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) pilots with years of remote aviation and photography experience. All 831 Aerial pilots are certified to fly at night and carry FAA certified equipment for our drones that enable us to get the job done in a safe and legal way.
At 831 Aerial, our drone operators have had had their Part 107 Remote Pilot Certifications issued directly by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). We keep our licenses on us at all times.
There are many rules that we have to operate within. There are regulations put in place by the FAA, local authorities, and our own company to insure a safe, legal operation.
Yes. To operate a drone commercially for gain or profit the operator must be certified with the FAA. The drone being used must also be registered with the FAA.
A drone operator that undertakes any aerial drone work that is considered to be of an illegal nature could be fined and penalties imposed by the FAA. In addition to this, the operation would NOT be covered by insurance if anything was to go wrong.
This varies by industry. That said, we have a range of affordable and scalable options for every job. We strive to be as competitive as possible while providing the most value to our clients.
Certain locations require further permissions to be gained from the FAA and/or relevant authorities.
We possess a FAA Daylight Waiver. This allows us to operate at night.
For educational and research purposes, yes! This requires careful safety, coordination, and precautionary planning by all parties. You would also need to contact and coordinate with the relevant authorities from MBNMS.
We do not offer print services. However, we can export your files formatted in print resolution- just let us know.
Due to airspace restrictions, and FAA enforcement policies, there is no guarantee that we can shoot aerial photography of a property. Depending on the homes location, we may need to apply for an airspace waiver. Airspace authorizations can take up to 90 days to approve. This is annoying, but it’s better than catching a fine.
We can operate in a wide variety of different weather conditions. During inclement weather we send reminder emails the morning of shoot, verifying the appointment and giving you first priority on rescheduling options. We understand that weather is not static and are flexible regarding different situations.
Our pilots are professionals who always consider safety first. Before and after every flight the aircraft are thoroughly inspected and any required maintenance is carried out. We comprehensively assess risks and are very open about any concerns before we operate.
Depending on the operation being performed, 831 Aerial can rent equipment to other parties. Those parties need to be Part 107 certified and meet all the criteria (waivers, exemptions, etc) for flying in the area they plan on operating in.
Yes. It is worth noting that depending on the city of intended operation, different restrictions may apply.
We send your photos, videos, and data using google drive. In your main folder you will see 1-5 separate folders containing your new content.
If you would like a partial reshoot (better lighting on a sunny day, less noise in the background of certain images, etc.) we charge $150.
Yes. We have an insurance policy that covers all of our drones. We have a minimum of $1m Public Liability Insurance and a maximum $10m depending on the type of operation being carried out.
We don’t offer refunds for services rendered, however we can apply a discount to future shoots. If something is our fault, we will happily reshoot and fix the problem.
